Configuring a Shared Network Drive: Windows 10

  1. Click into the search bar and the bottom of the screen. Type: \\adminshare and hit the enter key on your keyboard (or click the \\adminshare Run command)windows search bar

  2. You will be prompted for your username and password.
    • Type SHERNET\username and password
    • Check the Remember my password checkbox.

  3. You will be presented with a list of available shared network drives. Select the drive you need, right click or use keyboard-based navigation and choose Map Network Drive from the popup menu.

  4. Choose the letter for the drive. Each drive must have its own unique letter (avoid using “H” or “I” these are reserved for other network functions). Check the Reconnect at sign-in checkbox and select Finish.

  5. You now have access to the shared drive you specified and you will see it available in the sidebar under This PC.
