Tips for working with documents in SLATE courses
Can't open documents in the course (Powerpoints, Word docs etc.)
- PC users: you need to change your Internet Explorer settings - follow these instructions: Internet Explorer Security
- Mac users: your documents have probably saved to your Downloads. Look in your Dock for Downloads and double click to open it. Open the document and save it to your preferred location on your computer.
- Problems with attachments? When you are in SLATE and open a document or an attachment, always use Save As to save it to your computer and give it a name. Do not use Save (the disk icon ) because this saves it to a temporary directory as a .lnk file and it will not be able to be opened by others.
